Rebecca Jenkins received her education degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, her home state. She studied voice, piano, organ, and flute. She began her teaching career in 1974 in Logan, Utah. After relocation to California in 1976 she taught in the Shasta County schools. Rebecca has taught grades K-12. She directed the Intermountain Christmas Chorale and Madrigal Choir for eight years. She served as director of music at the Hat Creek Playhouse for five years. Under the direction of Dr. Richard Fiske, Rebecca has been a soloist with the Shasta College Symphony for the presentation of Handel's Messiah.Since 2003 she has been the choral director at Foothill High School. Rebecca directs three choirs, teaches beginning piano and music appreciation.
Rebecca's husband, Mike, is a history teacher at Foothill. They have five children. |
