This class is an advanced and auditioned choral ensemble. It is open to students who have taken previous choir classes at FHS (or consent of instructor) and showed exemplary commitment and discipline toward quality ensemble performance. Using correct vocal techniques, students will sing a diverse repertoire of choral jazz literature. Students will learn vocal improvisation and chord structure as well as solo singing techniques. Members of this group are required to perform often, both locally and throughout the state. Fees are required for choir performance uniform and travel. Participation in all scheduled choir performances is required and graded. The class fulfills the Fine Arts elective requirement for graduation. It also meets the UC and CSU requirement.
